Tried to get Melanie to update her blog today...guess she was too busy after getting off the phone. She was working in Marie's room trying to sort some clothes and rearrange the room so I can sleep in there on the air mattress...She needs to allow me a little bit of closet room for hanging stuff, too...but, bet she doesn't think of it, unless she reads it here! LOL
Hope you all have a super Valentine's Day tomorrow...

Musing
I've been able to get up with the alarm all but two days, so far. This week I'm working on 6:30am. Yesterday I turned off the alarm...immediately crawled back into bed thinking I was awake enough to hear Scott when he'd get out of the bathroom and begin dressing...no way...I was out and didn't wake until a bit after 11am. One of the good things is that so far I've always been able to drag myself up and out almost every time while at Melanie's....I just want to work on making it easier for my system to adjust before having to do it.
This weather has reinforced that we are at it's mercy. Snow with ice on top and today it's supposed to turn to rain and then back to snow later on. I'm hoping that the road to Atlanta will be clear by the time comes for me to be traveling!! There's plenty of time for it to ice up and thaw a couple of times in between now and then.
Nothing exciting happening here....stuck in the house as I convinced Scott to take my car to Louisville. His truck has a small leaking problem and he doesn't need to get stuck in this icy weather. I might give him a call and see if he's changed his plans...would like to see him stay here instead of tackling that drive.
Maybe I'll get myself motivated to actually get some decluttering or packing done? Or, reading? Sounds like more fun! :o)

trying something about it
I really have a hard time getting up in the mornings. I've been a night owl for many, many years and its a shock to my system to realize that my daughter has had the nerve to birth morning larks. Morning larks?? How...how..um..I mean..this is just ridiculous!! It's like some kind of conspiracy or something to drive me nuts! I am really trying hard to switch my infernal, internal time clock to be a bit more in line with these kids, as I know good and well that they're not going to be doing any changing anytime soon. I've been setting my alarm for 7am for most of this past week. Two of the days I managed to bound up and get myself going for an hour before lethargy crept back in to take over. The third day I didn't even hear the alarm until 20min had passed by. The fourth day I heard someone moving in the room and realized that my dear beloved was turning my alarm off because it was bugging him. I jumped up...took my first round of meds and then crawled back into the bed...two hours later I flew out of bed because I needed to be up the first go round...I had intended to go out for breakfast with Scott before heading over to open the bookstore. Instead, I grabbed some breakfast out of the freezer to take with me as I attempted to get to the store before too much time had passed our opening time of 10am.
My plans have been to bump the alarm back to 6:30 for this coming week...then aim for 6am the next....then, if possible, I'll be able to waken sometime before 6 and get into the bathroom before Xander needs it or the twins decide I need to play with them. Maybe I could talk Melanie into drugging them with something?? Nah...don't think that that would fly....Maybe there is some way to get them to begin to turn their time clocks back to a bit more friendly for Nonnas to deal with?? Say...sleep until 7am?
