Trying to make plans with friends to go out and eat can sometimes be a pain in the rear end!!!

Christmas is almost here and I'm trying to figure out how my scheduling didn't work. I made lists, but I think I ended up laying them aside while I played online. I also spent some time with my poor tootsies propped up trying to recover from work or shopping. None of which got presents purchased or wrapped...Holiday foods decided upon or baked, either. No parties attended this time....oops...take that back...went to the bookstore's party. Almost forgot! LOL

Anyway...I'm needing to send a check to Melanie for Marie's present....get the kids' clothes wrapped and into the mail...guess they'll now get those after Christmas. And I need to wrap all these presents I have sitting in little stacks allllll over my living room. They're there because I was attempting to "see" what I had and what not....did discover a few forgotten purchases. So...still need to get those done tomorrow. I never mail Vicky's presents, but this year I think I will.

Scott's off work this week, so I'll get him to make a delivery run at some point. Guess we might need to discuss this. It appears that I need that week back that was lost due to bronchitis!! LOL

OH...and, lets not forget the Holiday foods....I think I'm just not going to do any....though...I sure miss it when I don't. Fudge, cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, and cakes and pies, too. UMmmm...might have to reconsider this!! LOL

We don't have a large tree, either...which isn't very satisfying...maybe I'll bring one home tomorrow and sit it up for a couple of months?? Don't misunderstand...I have Momma's small tabletop tree sitting close by. But, it isn't lit. And, a tree without lights just misses, somehow...ya'know? sigh...Really, really hard to put presents around a 2ft tree....

Checking In

This is driving me nuts because it won't allow me to fix my fonts the way I want to. Maybe I'll be able to switch them out after I'm done during editing.

Ah...well...checking in today with you all. Nothing much going on today other than some laundry and posting before heading in to the bookstore. First time at work this week. heh heh She called yesterday and announced she is TIRED of working by herself and doesn't want to work anymore...ever again. No more vacations for me ever. I warned her that little Baby Setters is due very soon. I doubt that Kelly will carry on late, or even on time. I think she'll go early. But....maybe not. If Lisa is lucky Kelly will go at least to term.

Christmas preparations are coming along....slowly. One of my best friends came this week to help me stay focused on everything pertaining to Christmas....in particular the shopping for gifts. I have a list now, and have some finished. Well...finished as in purchased, not finished as in wrapped or delivered.

Decorations are going very slow. I have towels out...and three of my mugs...the box I thought held the rest of my mugs wasn't the correct box. I did pull Momma's tree out of the closet. I keep it unpacked so I can get to it easier. Right now it's on the desk, but I'm thinking it won't stay there. No big tree...no lights...no knickknacks...so far...Scott did get out our large front door wreath. I can't let him put up the smaller window ones, because he'd destroy the little room trying to get back to the window....that's a no-no!!

OK....time's wasting....need to get the jeans finished drying and myself cleaned up for work. Will check in another day...bye...

OK I want to preface this by saying that I dearly love my husband of 40yrs. I admire him for many different reasons. And, try to support him in as many areas as I can without being untrue to my own soul. Saying that...realize that I'm using this blog as a place for ranting!!!

HE'S DRIVING ME PURELY NUTS!!! Apeshit even!! What is it with intelligent people that once they get a notion in their heads that you can't reason with them at all??? ARGHHHHH!!

He has bronchitis. He's been given medicine for this. The medicine works best if uninterrupted. And, as a controlled substance, isn't something to be played around with.

It says to take every 2x day. This doesn't mean anytime during this 24hr period you can pick 2 times you want to take this medicine. USUALLY it means 12hrs apart....right? Instead.....he's taking it a dose here....a dose there....never catching on as to why it's not maintaining a steady, measured managment of his symptoms.

At this point I'm just trying to not pay any attention to him...can not be of any assistance when the person refuses to listen to reason.

Better

Update on our colds. I still have bronchitis. I'm still taking antibiotics and cough syrup with codiene. I can still tell a difference each day with it progressively improving. PTL!! Scott's isn't progressing like I'd thought it would.

I worried about Scott's medicines not working. Yesterday he contacted his doctor and was called in some of my cough syrup which enabled him to get a whole lot more sleep last night. Actually, though...I'm thinking it's the z-pack not working on him like I expected it to....thought I'd see a big difference, but it seems like it was just weaker enough from mine that he didn't improve as quickly.

Anyway....we're better....we're still unpleasant to be around when the 'attacks' hit...bleaaa, but the tissue supply for the world may be safe after all....

ugh!!...wait....not ugh after all!!

I did manage to get in to see the doctor today...well, rather her hubby, who is also in the same group. Anyway...turns out to be bronchitis...heading toward pneumonia...glad I went!! I kept hassling Scott to go, too, but finally gave up. He called an hour later with the news that the doctor thought he wasn't nearly as bad me, but still warranted a Z-pack and script for another med, too. Hah!...sometimes nagging works best when you just threaten to not share your drugs!! LOL

Currently we're both experiencing that period of time where the meds have just begun to work enough to make things seem worse...we're both coughing more, but I do think my head seems clearer. What a relief!! LOL

Scott's stuck with supper duties tonight...he's such a good husband!! He's baking talipia and steaming broccoli and fixed a sweet potato for us to share....and, there's hot yeast rolls!! YUM!

Life is definitely looking UP!!
