I'm having troubles today staying focused on getting anything positive accomplished. This doesn't surprise me, though it irritates the devil out of me...other people have no problems with getting everyday chores done...why do I?? So far, I've been up about 4hrs and for those 4hrs I've managed to make up the bed, declutter the top of my dresser, pick up some clutter from the living room and deliver to it's home, fix and eat breakfast, potty a couple of times, talk on the phone twice with my Nathan, and play online...arghhh!!!! I have SO MUCH MORE that needs to be accomplished!! And..it's not like I do not KNOW this...grumble complain fuss fume....
OK...official ranting is over for awhile...I AM going to get up and get my jeans in the dryer before I have to end up wearing church clothes to get my nails done....paaaah****!!

Don't be too hard on yourself! I am the queen of procrastination!
When I do manage to get some things done around the house, then I'm not picking on myself....it's just that most of the time, I can't get myself to DO even the basics I know are needed doing...and, that's frustrating for me. You're sweet to try and make me feel better...you can keep that up anytime! LOL
Donna, this is why I can't be a stay-at-home mom, because NOTHING WOULD EVER GET DONE!!! I need someone lurking over me forcing me to be productive. Don't feel bad. I am a flybaby dropout. Oh, I sold your cookies to someone else, I am so sorry. Things got crazy, you were in GA, money deadline was looming...excuses excuses. I am a horrible person.
*gasp* You SOLD MY cookies??? gahh!
OH well...it's not really a big deal...I was just wanting to taste those lemon ones and ended up buying a box for Xander while in GA...they were very good! LOL
As for FlyLady...some of her ideas really work well for me, some don't. I'm still not motivated to get dressed immediately upon rising, but I can see the benefit for those days I can get it done. AND...the crisis cleaning does work around here...set that timer and get myself going!! LOL Just need to "get myself going" once it goes off! Not just sit there and comment to myself...oh! That's the timer...I'm supposed to go do....!! LOL
I recommended the flylady to my sister a few years ago- I didn't think I needed her at the time, but my sister did. She never used any of her principles, but I live by the clean sink one! I now comet and scrub my sink twice a day. If my kitchen sink is clean, I want the entire kitchen counters and dishes clean and put away.
I am glad you liked my grandmothers banana cake recipe. I made it again today, but used half whole wheat flour. Sneaks some health benefits into it- which means my husband thinks he is getting a snack, when I know I am getting fiber into him, hee hee.
Lizzie,
I love having a clean sink. Drives me nuts when someone other than me messes it up, too! LOL
The banana cake has basically ruined my diet for this week...it was fantastic. BTW, have you tried flax meal in the batter, yet...should work well....adds tons of good
fiber!
